Multipurpose Protection Slabs
Multipurpose Protection Slabs are engineered to safeguard underground infrastructure. These slabs are constructed using high-strength concrete and feature heavy steel reinforcement, making them extremely durable and robust.
This makes them ideal for protecting utilities, such as water pipes, high pressure gas main and power cables from accidental damage and above-ground traffic, as well as other underground infrastructure, reducing the risk of costly strikes and delays.

These slabs effectively shield vital underground utilities, including water pipes, high-pressure gas mains, and power cables
Reinforcement
Both faces of the slab are reinforced with heavy mesh, providing comprehensive protection
Easy installation
The slabs feature integral cast-in and fully certified lifting points, allowing for quick and safe installation
Availability
Slabs are readily available off the shelf for immediate UK mainland delivery.
Versatility
They offer protection from mechanical excavations and are suitable for various utility and pipe protection scenarios
Interlocking Design
The slabs interlock, ensuring easy installation and a rigid, stable protective barrier.
Applications
These utility protection slabs have been installed on major infrastructure products, such as Hinkley Point C, HS2 and several airport projects, where they protect critical underground communication equipment during construction works.
The combination of high-strength concrete, steel reinforcement and versatile design makes these multipurpose protection slabs essential for safeguarding underground infrastructure across various large-scale construction and development projects.
