Elite Precast Concrete – A people business built on experience
With the construction industry going through a tough time and projects being put on hold or shelved and an increase in redundancies being witnessed, when Richard Doody, Commercial Director at Elite Precast Concrete asked customers what they wanted from the precast company, they said consistency and trust.
Which is why when Richard expanded his team recently, he looked back to build on the existing experience within the industry.
Today, the Elite team has a combined history of over 200 years with many of them working together at the likes of Johnston Pipes, Ennstone, ARC, Hanson, F P McCann, Besblock (part of Aggregate Industries), CPM Group, Marshalls, Naylor Concrete, Hanson and Supreme Concrete – all highly recognisable names within the industry.
Richard explains “Several of our production crews have previously worked at Supreme Concrete, Johnston Pipes, F P McCann and Ennstone, and have passed on their experience of making precast concrete products to others. Our team manufacture concrete products, to almost any shape or size from our growing facilities in Telford, Shropshire.”
“Having previously worked for Tarmac, Hanson, CPM and Marshalls, our quality control team understands the importance of reliable, consistent quality and the impact it has on products and customer service.”
“Our commercial team has worked closely together for many years, at one point or another, within companies including Johnston Pipes and Ennstone before going on to working at the CPM Group and Marshalls while others worked for F P McCann, Naylors and Besblock previously and are now combining forces once again at Elite Precast Concrete, working alongside our younger members and sharing their enthusiasm and market knowledge of products.”
Richard goes on to say, “I’ve worked with every member of the Elite senior team over the years, which is why I know their skill sets and how they complement each other. Several have extensive knowledge of drainage products, whilst some have walling experience, whereas others are great at seeing the potential in products and bringing them to market, which aids our future growth plans at Elite.”
“Overall, they work as a team, ensuring that our customers get the best service around. If you want to know something, one of them will know the answer and they are all happy to talk to customers and suppliers to build meaningful, long-term relationships, rather than online ones that solely communicate by email or chat boxes.”
“If a job needs doing, they do it, not because it’s in their job description but because they want to succeed together. Those with experience are happy to share it with those who have less, it’s great to see everyone pulling together and confirms my decision in building this team.”
Over the next 12 months, Elite Precast will be growing our product range to not only complement the existing range, which includes ballast, barriers, blocks, drainage, infrastructure, walling, waste and recycling and security products, but also to expand into new markets, such as solar energy, fencing, agricultural and electric vehicle solutions.
